The Reception

After the ceremony there were pictures.
We actually suggested that one of the photographers
cluck like a chicken to get Baby X to laugh.
He did- awesome shot.
 My mom was two-fisting it.
(Not really, she was just holding my brother and sister's beer.)

 It's how we roll.
The Brat Child photobombing in the background.
We actually hiked up to the falls.
Hiking in a wedding dress is no easy feat.
I got several interesting stares
but mostly people congratulated us.
We also took photos on the famous Swinging Bridge
We arrived!
 We had our first dance.
 My dad and I danced.
The brat Child and I danced.
He had this whole plan to dance to Ghostbusters
with Nerf guns
and pretend we were hunting ghosts.
He chickened out.
 There was delicious cake

And time with friends and family

The End.

If you're interested in any of the DIY projects I did, you can check out my other blog The Wannabe Farm where I will share some of the details.

Blogfest 2013

There was some hot tubbing
Some water collection from a hole
(the Brat Child says this make CBW "rich")

Some beach time

Some oysters at Merroir
(Let me just say, I hate oysters but
Noe Noe Girl shoved one of these in my mouth and
I ended up ordering my own plate)
Some talks
Some hugging

Some nice scenery

And some wild gator rides.
When can we come back??

Spring

Spring is a busy time of year.
Crocuses and daffodils are blooming, trees are budding, grass is growing and
Osprey are returning to their nests.

As for me, I'm knee deep in work when I'd rather be knee deep in water.
Or maybe not water, but on the beach at least.
This time last year I was getting ready to head south to visit with some friends.
I'm anxious to have another relaxing weekend, but it has to wait until April.
I have a new grown up DSLR camera I'm itching to use
and friends I'm itching to see.

Already?!

I can't believe that it's that time of year again where I travel with my family to Deltaville for the annual Heritage Day Celebration.
Wasn't it just St Patrick's Day?
Photo from St Patrick's Day taken by the Brat Child
Looking forward to a great weekend, taking some great pictures and meeting up with some great friends at a great Ballpark (and maybe some great wine in a dirty Big Gulp cup in the parking lot).

It's gonna be GREAT!

Lunch With Friends

My trip to the 'Ville last month was entirely planned so that I could see some of my Blisters
(that would be blogging + sister= blister for those not in the know).
We managed to meet for lunch.
There was some mediocre food and wine,
and a whole lot of high quality laughter.
Also some dancing to "I'm Hexy and I know It".

I LOVE these ladies!
I am thankful that I began blogging and had the opportunity to meet them.
And all photography was done by the Brat Child (except the one with him in it).

Day 24: Something I've Learned

* that I'm stronger than I thought
* that even when you feel totally alone, your family and friends are there for you
* that you aren't the only person going through whatever you're going through
* that eventually, great things happen
* that wine and crab hats make everything better

Day 9: A Favorite Picture of Your Best Friend

I can't really say I have a best friend.  That's mostly because I tend to have just a small group of people I consider friends with whom I have close and meaningful relationships with.  With that being said, here are a couple of photos (please note how serious and meaningful these relationships really are):
