Another Dream

Trust me, this isn't what you're expecting, unless you ever saw the other blog post about A Dream.

I had a dream the other night.  I was having a sleepover at CBW's house with a couple of friends.
There was, of course wine involved.

Then trouble strikes.
CBW's boot phone rings.
Okay, I admit to some creative editing.  It was a shoe phone, not a boot phone, but CBW mentioned these zebra print boots she has, and, well, I think they add a little something-something to the story.
Anyway, her boot phone rings because secretly, we're secret agents.
Like James Bond.
So we race to our boat.
(I'm not sure why CBW looks like she's doing a zombie walk.  I'm sure she doesn't really run like that)
It isn't a fancy boat, more like a crabbing boat you'd find down in the Tidewater region of Virginia.
The Captain of our boat was a prime specimen of man-flesh: Javier Bardem.
(I can't draw Javier, and I know the illustration looks like a Midget driving the boat,
but trust me, it was Javier)

And CBW was all like, "Kiss me, Javier!"

So we get in the boat and cruise out to see what the emergency is.
We find that a large whirlpool has developed around the island housing the lighthouse.
There were lots of boats trapped in the swirling waters.
That's when I noticed the lighthouse looked like this:
If you thought "mushroom" you'd be correct though "phallic symbol" also pops up.
Pun Intended.
So, basically, that's the end of my basically meaningless dream.
And a message to all of you not to eat cucumbers with Laughing Cow Garlic and Herb spreadable cheese before bedtime.

Haven Beach Overlook

I've taken more than a few photos of these chairs sitting on this dock called the Haven Beach Overlook.
Located at one the the Mathews' beaches where people swim and fish,
it was something that made me dream and think.
One day, I'd be sitting in those chairs and sharing the view with someone special.
There would be hand holding.
There would be deep meaningful conversation or not
because just being with someone special and not saying a word is deep and meaningful in its own way.
I never climbed up to sit in those chairs.
Just took photos and made my dreams.
Sadly, I learned yesterday that Hurricane Irene took the dock and the chairs out to the Bay.
They're gone.
Of course now I have someone special to sit with.
And while I'm disappointed that I don't have the chance to sit in the chairs with person,
I am grateful that the chairs were there when he wasn't to help keep the dream alive until he showed up.

The Dream

You may arrive here expecting me to wax poetic about my goals and aspirations.  You'd be disappointed.  Today's blog entry is simply a recounting of an odd dream I recently had starring myself and fellow blogger and friend Chesapeake Bay Woman.  I opted to illustrate the story of my odd dream in a similar fashion as one of my other favorite blogs Hyperbole and a Half.  Let the story begin....

One day, Chesapeake Bay Woman (CBW) and I were hanging out on a floating dock.
(no, I don't know why and I'm not sure how we got on it or what specific body of water we were floating on, but I'm certain it was somewhere in the Deltaville/Mathews area)
We were wearing some of our favorite accessories and holding hands.
(for those who are unsure, CBW is the blonde in the crab hat)

Suddenly, Danger appeared!
Hundreds of Mean Bloodthirsty Sharks surrounded our floating dock.
How would we ever make it to shore?!

As we were trying to determine how to escape to safety, several crab pots floated to the surface (yes, I know crab pots don't float but apparently my subconscious doesn't know that).
The crab pots were full of Mean Angry Crabs trying to pinch us.
We were worried.

Then we had an idea!
We could leap from crab pot to crab pot and get to the shore.
(please note: we are pointing our index fingers in an "ah-ha" sort of way NOT flipping people off.  On second thought, I guess it depends on who is reading this.)

So we did.
(Does anyone else think CBW's crab hat looks like a helmet here? Does anyone else become overcome by laughter at the thought of a crab hat helmet?)

It was around this time during the night that the Brat Child came into my room and woke me up subsequently ending my dream- before I knew the ending.
Did we get eaten by the sharks? Did we make it to shore?

I'm saying that we did make it back to shore and drank a lot of wine once we got there.

I wonder what my next odd dream will be about.....

And yes, it's true- Not all my puppies is barkin'
*No crabs, sharks or killer geese were harmed in the making of this blogpost.
