The 5K

This year was the 2nd Annual Deltaville 5K.
A few months ago, I came up with the idea that I'd run in it.
My mom jumped on board,
but because of some health issues that prevented "training"
and some stressful issues,
I didn't think I would do it.
Then I decided to stop whining
and register as a walker.
Big E decided to register too.

We were in Wave 4- Walkers
Which meant people who were going to need to use a walker walking the course.

My mom was in Wave 3.
(that's her in the middle with the yellow shorts)
She ran the whole thing.
We all finished.
My mom was 200 and something out of 460.
Big E was 400th and I was 401.
We walked the whole way except for running the last 2/10th of a mile.
And no, the humor of the rescue squad behind us is not lost on me.
Next year, I plan on running.
